Sidedoor beta terms
These terms are between you and Boring Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 20 694 231 448), Victoria, Australia ("we", "us"), and apply to the Sidedoor beta. By signing in you agree to them and to our Privacy policy.
Effective: 12 October 2026. Contact: hello@sidedoor.ing.
1. The beta
- Sidedoor is in beta: invite-only, free, and still changing. Features, limits and results may change or stop, and data may occasionally be lost or wrong.
- You must be 18 or over and personally invited. Your account is for you only; don't share it.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in (Google account or email) secure, and for what happens under your account.
2. What Sidedoor is for
Sidedoor helps you find jobs and contract roles, and the recruiters or hiring managers behind them, from information they've published. Use it only to look for work for yourself.
You agree not to:
- contact anyone in Sidedoor except about a genuine job or contract role you're interested in;
- send bulk, automated or templated messages, or marketing of any kind, to people you find in Sidedoor, or add them to mailing lists, CRMs or sales tools;
- harass anyone, or ignore someone who asks you not to contact them;
- copy, export, scrape, resell or share Sidedoor's data or results (screenshots of a few jobs for your own use are fine);
- use bots or scripts against Sidedoor, try to get around usage limits, or probe or attack its security;
- use it in breach of any law, including the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and privacy laws.
3. Usage limits
Some actions cost us money (new searches, job lookups, reading example jobs). Each user has a monthly allowance (currently US$6 of these costs, up to 3 searches of your own). When you reach it you can ask for more; we decide case by case. Free actions (browsing your feed, saved jobs, joining existing searches) are rate-limited only to protect the service.
4. Information in Sidedoor
- Jobs and people come from public LinkedIn posts and listings and other public sources, processed partly by AI. They may be incomplete, out of date or wrong: a job may be filled, a recruiter may have moved, a "likely hiring manager" is a best guess with a confidence score. Check before you rely on it.
- Sidedoor isn't affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn. Links take you to the original content on LinkedIn.
- People can ask to be removed from Sidedoor at any time; when they do, they disappear from your results.
5. Your feedback and examples
When you give feedback, example jobs or "not for me" reasons, you let us use them to run and improve Sidedoor, including tuning searches for other users. We won't show other users your name with your feedback.
6. Ending your access
You can stop using Sidedoor at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access at any time, especially if you break these terms, and we may end the beta. We'll try to tell you first unless there's a security or legal reason not to.
7. Our content
Sidedoor's software, design and arrangement of results belong to us. These terms don't give you any ownership of them. The posts and listings shown belong to their authors.
8. Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.
- Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, Sidedoor is provided "as is" without warranties, and we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities or lost income, or for anything you do with information from Sidedoor.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with the beta is limited to AU$100, or, for a consumer guarantee, to supplying the service again.
- You're responsible for how you use information from Sidedoor, including any messages you send to people you find in it.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll email you before a significant change; if you keep using Sidedoor after it takes effect, you accept it.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and its courts (and federal courts sitting there) can hear any dispute.
